Help Desk Specialist
Consul-vation, Inc. is seeking a Help Desk Support Specialist to join our growing team in an environment that rewards those who challenge themselves to grow both technically and professionally. This position provides exposure to diverse computer networking environments utilizing different platforms for various industries including travel, manufacturing, medical and professional services, for clients with offices in the US, Canada and India. This role offers the motivated individual the opportunity to strengthen their hands-on experience in preparation for more advanced Help Desk, Systems Engineer, Project Engineer, and Consulting roles. This is a junior position with unlimited growth opportunities; however the applicant must be able to demonstrate a very strong foundational knowledge and competency of networking–scholastic achievements alone, while important, will not meet our requirements. As we prefer to promote from within, our team heavily invests our resources into the training of our junior members. Consul-vation, Inc. offers an opportunity to enrich your knowledge and experience in a fast-paced consulting and implementation environment. Applicants should possess at least 2 years of experience supporting end-users in the following areas:
- Hands-on experience with TCP/IP.
- Windows user account management and exposure to Microsoft Active Directory.
- Knowledge of troubleshooting tools and applications such as anti-malware and built-in operating system or 3rd party diagnostic tools.
- Experience with productivity applications such as email, word processing, spreadsheets, web browsers, etc.
- Some experience with networking infrastructure such as routers, firewalls, access points and switches and their roles.
- Familiar with remote control software such as Remote Desktop, VNC, Splashtop, LiveConnect, DameWare, etc.
- Windows file sharing and printing.
- Must possess a solid foundation in computer science, including the necessary knowledge of computer history.
- Experience with a variety of popular hardware manufacturers and software vendors.
- Basic installation and troubleshooting of Windows Server 2012-2022 and Windows 10/11 platforms.
- Knowledge of legacy Windows 7 and earlier systems a plus.
- Some experience setting up/troubleshooting PC’s and servers with operating systems and applications.
- Linux and/or Mac, iPhone, smart phone knowledge a plus.
- Virtualization knowledge a plus.

Network Engineer Apprenticeship
We currently have one opening for an Network Engineer Apprentice to join our growing team in an environment that rewards those who challenge themselves. This position provides exposure to diverse computer networking environments utilizing different platforms for various industries including travel, manufacturing, medical and professional services, for clients with offices in the US, Canada and India. This role offers motivated individuals the opportunity to develop hands-on experience in preparation for potential Help Desk, Systems Engineer, Project Engineer, and Consulting roles. The term of the apprenticeship is 3 months and offers the potential for advancement. Our team heavily invests our resources into the training of our apprentices and because of this we pay very close attention to how applicants represent themselves. The right applicant will demonstrate in their cover letter, resume and during their interview:
- The ability to effectively communicate in both verbal and written form to a technical and non-technical audience.

- Must have strong knowledge of TCP/IP.

- A basic understanding of networking infrastructure such as routers, firewalls, access points and switches and their roles.
- Windows File Sharing and Printing.

This apprenticeship is full time, 9:00AM to 5:00PM, Monday through Friday.

Stipend:
